Blender’s 3D sculpt mode

This 3D model was constructed in a program called Blender. Blender is a program that specializes in making 3D models. This one was made with Blender’s sculpt mode. Just in a similar way you would in clay. I would say it is much easier to model this way unlike 3D patch modeling. I prefer sculpting a model versus drawing out a front view and side view of a character. It is technical and it just doesn’t give me the same result. It allows me to use my instinct more then having to think about what I’m working on. This is what makes the inspiration flow freely to create what ever is in my head. Like this creature I modeled it has some features like a bull dog. It also has a smaller face protrusion like a tumor growth. I just take a little bit of every thing I can think up at the time. Blender has some draw backs to more mainstream programs such as Maya. But it is very stable it almost never crashes. In less I make the complexity of my 3D model too detailed. But over all it is a good tool for artists and best of all it is free.
